The Rock is a very popular sports bar in Glasgow, situated just on Hyndland road. It is a nicely lit, scenic little pub with several large screens, and a few makeshift ones for sports fans to watch from. It is a popular venue for rugby, cricket and football enthusiasts, or for those who are looking to watch a recent sports event.
It is good for a night out as the drinks are relatively reasonably priced for the west end, is family-friendly, and there are several pool tables on one side of the room. It admittedly can be a bit overwhelming for those who have never encountered a sports bar environment before, as it can become pretty busy, but if one is familiar with sports bars it's perfectly fine. The bar is furnished with wooden tables and chairs, is large enough for you to bring a sizeable group of friends with you, should once choose to. The bar has several large leather couches neatly placed around the corners of the door, and these are perfect to lounge around in while having a drink.
I've often sprawled myself (not so elegantly) on the couches after a long day with some friends and a sweet cream liqueur. I'm admittedly not a sporty person, but I thoroughly enjoy the down-to-earth and welcoming atmosphere of the bar.
It also has several benches outside for better weather. The bar has a somewhat rustic environment, and is good for a casual night out with some friends.
