Apartıman Yeniköy is ideal for meeting with friends over tasty lunch or relaxing after a long day at work with a tasty dinner. This lovely restaurant in Istanbul has been converted from a small family building and this is where the name Apartıman (Eng. Apartment) comes from. They offer a creative, delicious menu in a casual dining atmosphere at more reasonable prices than many popular chef restaurants.
Their menus are seasonally inspired, using the freshest ingredients and incorporating a broad range of flavors. The raspberry cured salmon gravlax on a bed of sliced fennel and burrata with grapefruit was so fresh and tasty, I couldn’t believe I was eating this sort of food on an ordinary Sunday afternoon in Istanbul. Italian coffee, a decent local wine selection and the potatoes with special sauce are also good every hour of the day.
Breakfast enthusiasts will certainly be happy here, particularly on weekends. Between 10:00 and 15:00 on Sundays, they offer different options for breakfast accompanied by their own baked breads.
Food, decoration and special touches are all in harmony here. The marble tables, light wood furniture and floor tiles create a warm, cozy setting. This minimal look is perfect for achieving the Scandinavian feeling.
