But First Coffee is located in Bomonti. It used to be a not-so-favorite place for living, mostly known for its textile business companies.
It is so surprising to see the new Bomonti neighourhood right now. It has changed a lot recently and has become one of the IT areas of Istanbul. Especially, after the opening of a place called Bomontiada, which used to be an Old Brewery factory.
I have to say that I go to BFC probably every day. Since it is very close to where I live, I am always there socialising with friends or going there alone sometimes.
Other times, I just go there to work with my laptop while I enjoy drinking my coffee. Actually, I am writing this article here right now while having my latte :).
Don't expect great decoration or anything, but you will definitely find good coffee as well as sandwiches or desserts, and you must try their velvet cake.
I usually buy their ground coffees for home and try to buy different kinds every time.
They have an indoor and outdoor area for sitting and the wifi is very good. That is why it is mostly preferred by people who work as freelancers.
Once you are in Istanbul, you will definitely visit Bomonti :) so I'm going to suggest you find this place and have coffee while you are there. The English-speaking waitress will make things easier for you.

Turkish Tea is had after each meal, and it's a reflection of hospitality. When in Istanbul, have it at small local tea houses in Sultanahmet.
