 
Cukurcuma 49 is my favorite pizzeria whenever I need a place to feel at home. Imagine a cute pizzeria with lovely decor of rustic brick walls, vintage photographs, cozy seating arrangements, comfortable cushions, and intimate lighting located in the heart of the Çukurcuma neighborhood.
One of the highlights of Cukurcuma 49, rather than the pizza, is the old food elevator in the middle of the place, adding a nostalgic touch and taking you back in time. Also, the glass floor on which the cellar with delicious wines coming from Turkey’s small Aegean island of Bozcaada is displayed gives a unique touch. The owner's music list further enhances the overall experience, creating a delightful ambiance.
Of course, Cukurcuma 49’s star of the show is the pizza. From the stone oven, they offer a variety of traditional and innovative styles of pizzas, all made with the freshest ingredients. Whether you're a fan of classic Margherita or prefer to explore more adventurous flavors, like the fungi misto, all nineteen of them are delicious. Cukurcuma 49 doesn't use anything frozen or canned. Even the octopus and squid of the seafood pizza come from the fishermen of Bozcaada.
If you’re in the mood for cocktails, Cukurcuma 49’s menu will impress you. And some words for the staff. They are knowledgeable and passionate about their offerings, always ready to recommend the perfect pairing for your chosen pizza.
I highly recommend visiting this wonderful pizzeria and creating your own memorable moments in the heart of Çukurcuma.
