Some places have a soul. And even though it is not easy to explain, you feel it as soon as you step into the place. Yes, Firuze is definitely one of them. It is not surprising that the name 'Firuze' is one of the most beautiful and retro Turkish girl names. If this place were a woman, I would expect her to be one of the most elegant, sophisticated and vintage -but not old-fashioned- women I have ever seen.
The restaurant is on the top of the IKSV building (The Istanbul culture and art foundation) building and has a stunning Golden Horn view.
You can taste traditional Turkish delicacies like kebab and meze with a modern twist. They have a wide selection of wines, but of course Turkish raki would also be a good option. If you have your reservation before sunset, you can enjoy your cocktail watching the red-orange rays of the setting sun over the Golden Horn.
All in all, the classy and also cozy decoration, welcoming seasonal flowers and the kind staff are all pluses. Take your time and enjoy, the sun is setting!
