A Künefe is a crispy cheese-filled dessert made with traditional shredded wheat and a pistachio filling. Künefe is served hot so the cheese is soft and stringy. This is a classic taste from the Southeast. But in the last year, dessert shops dedicated to Künefe have started to open up with creative improvements.
Jumba is an example of dessert shops dedicated to künefe with 3 different styles. Their suggestion is the extra crunchy one: if you are a fan of pistachio, the one that uses the whole pistachios instead of the wheat. It is a taste bomb.
Jumba serves milk and fruits with künefe ,which is good to give some freshness after the strong sweet taste.
