Apparently, one of the hottest trends in food and drink for 2018 is "bowl food." It’s all about what superfoods you can pack into the bowl. I think we can consider it as the fast food choice of healthy eaters. I’m a foodie and I love this trend! Even the British Royal family does. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle served “trendy bowl food” to standing guests at their wedding breakfast. Kase No. 16 (Kase is the Turkish word for bowl) is a bowl-centric restaurant in Istanbul, centrally located in the trendy area of Teşvikiye, in Nisantasi. It's a solid lunch/quick dinner option if you live/work around the area & are tired of usual salad bowls.
I had the chance to try their Buddha Bowl. Even though the food sounds too simplistic (mostly fresh vegetables in a bowl) and came out really quickly, it was made perfectly. The greens were fresh, the buckwheat was well cooked and the way everything was put together in a bowl was a like a form of art. Portions were satisfying for a quick lunch but would not be enough for dinner without the starters. As everything with the “healthy” label on, it's on the pricey side, but yummy.
The restaurant’s decoration is also bowl-themed. One of the walls is embellished with an array of colourful bowls attached to it. They don't accept reservations, but they're not necessary; the seating may look limited from the outside but there are seats in the back, so feel free to come by.

Turkish Tea is had after each meal, and it's a reflection of hospitality. When in Istanbul, have it at small local tea houses in Sultanahmet.
