When you first hear the name of the mansion, maybe it sounds a little bit weird. But no worries – Perili Kosk is very safe place... or is it???
Perili Köşk is known as the Yusuf Ziya Pasha Mansion and is currently housing the Borusan Contemporary Art Museum. Also, the headquarters of Borusan Holding are situated there. This historical mansion is located at the Rumelihisarı neighborhood with the breathtaking views.
The name of the building comes from its construction period. The mansion remained partially unfinished for a long period of time; its second and third floors remained empty for years. Due to the empty years, it began being called “The Haunted Mansion”.
Borusan Contemporary Art Museum is a platform of exhibitions, events and activities. The entire building, including the galleries, office space, café, art store and outdoor terraces, are open to the public only on the weekends. That's because on weekdays Borusan Holding uses that area as their working place and offices.
And if after all this art and these cultural activities, you want to take some rest, the museum cafe offers a great view over the Bosphorus.
Enjoy!
