Coffee connoisseurs will love Monkee Koffee - the coffee is honestly the most delicious I've had in Madrid. They have the house blend - exceptional; a coffee of the month to try (you can buy a bag if you like it) and Swiss water-treated decaff.
The diaphanous space is still cosy - the different types of seating make areas that are good for relaxing with friends, (all squishy sofas and low tables) and others that are more suitable for work, furnished with long tables and benches. It is a good place to work remotely but fair warning - you have to spend a certain amount to get the Wifi code, and you have it for a limited time.
Food-wise, they do bakes, breakfast-y things and sandwiches - everything homemade and delish. They also have other drinks, like a smoothie you can design yourself!
One tiny warning; if you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you. The coffee is worth it and so if you have the time and patience remember, all good things come to those who wait!
Shout out for the bathrooms as well - really nice and clean too (this is not always the case in Madrid!).
