There is something in Sweden called fredagsmys, meaning you just snuggle on the couch on Friday evening with your roomies or with your whole family and maybe watch a movie or play some games. For that, you need a special kind of bad food: a carefully selected variety of chips, popcorn, candy, fizzy drinks and/or ice-cream. And in Sweden, you have a shop dedicated to just that: food that matches your couch and the movie selection for the evening.
The first time I visited, I could not believe my eyes. The wonder of that place left me gasping for words. I don’t think I had ever seen so many different kinds of delicious junk food in one place. Everything your heart can desire, although maybe not that good for your heart in the long run.
What I found fascinating were the never-ending shelves filled with different types of sugar candy of all possible flavours, like you know them from your local cinema. You just grab a bag and fill it up until your diabetes lets you know that it had enough. Then, you move on to the 50 flavours of popcorn. Oh, and did I mention they do home deliveries?
