If you are visiting Mexico for the first time –or even as a local– and are looking for gifts to bring to your loved ones abroad, please do not go for the traditional Mexican sombrero or a tequila bottle. Mexico City is filled with local bazaars where you can find that special gift without resorting to the obvious, and Bazar Fusion is just the place where you can find these gifts. Located in Colonia Juárez, it is home to various local Mexican brands that offer sustainable clothes/shoes, independent jewelry, organic teas and infusions and vegan makeup, among other things.
Bazar Fusion is located inside a beautiful late 19th-century house. Almost every weekend, the bazaar opens its doors to more local and organic brands to sell their products in the house's main out-door corridor. Its entrance is surrounded with trees and is often decorated with pretty designs hanging from the walls. And if all of this wasn't enough, Bazar Fusion also houses Petit Roquefort, a sublime French restaurant. I would personally recommend visiting Petit Roquefort after you are done shopping. My personal favorite is the sandwich combo (with tomato soup).
