Each month, the forest of Chapultepec, the biggest and most beautiful green area in Mexico City, organizes a collective night picnic in its Botanic Garden.
You can buy some food and wine directly from the organizers. Because I'm not such a drinker and sometimes the food is not enough for all the attendants, I personally prefer to bring some food from home.
I suggest arriving early - that way you can visit some of the great spots and the castle that is inside the forest. This castle was inhabited by emperor Maximiliano and his wife Carlota, as well as some of our former presidents.
Keep in mind that this only happens the second Saturday of each month, so try to fit this activity into your schedule. A perfect alternative for spoiling your significant other in Mexico City.
Oh, yes, and don't forget to bring a blanket or a tablecloth.
