I was walking through Sindicalismo Street one day and saw some big glass doors with huge kind-of mandala stickers so I decided to get in. I found Yume, an international food restaurant with a coffee bar and a beautiful gallery inside. The gallery’s name is Pimpa and the people in charge have a really nice taste. There you can find a good choice of Mexican designers and artists. There’s a selection of particular objects like plastic bunny-shaped sculptures, ceramic, peltre, vintage toys and more. You find things everywhere. Also there is a small bookstore with a delicate pick of illustrated books in Spanish.
And what about the food? Yume has a large breakfast menu and you can ask for them anytime. I love to eat green-sauce chilaquiles or some fried eggs at 21:00. For lunch there’s a list of homemade vegan and non-vegan sandwiches. And I can’t forget to mention the desserts; please don’t miss the brownie-vegan-matcha or any of their cookies -- they are all special and delicious.
Yume is also a good place to work or to schedule a job appointment. It has a big table with a lot of plugs. You can sit there for hours and nobody will ever bother you. The waitresses are really kind and you can ask them about every item on sale at the gallery. I promise you will have a nice time there.
