Mexicans are pretty picky when it comes to tacos. The discussion is not only between Mexicans and the rest of the world but also among the different areas of the country.
Taquería Orinoco arrived directly from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and they are here to show us what the authentic northern taco should taste like.
There are several options to choose from, but for me, the best pick is the taco al trompo (similar to taco al pastor). Orinoco potatoes are a good snack and the five sauces (creamy green, piquin chile, coriander, red and yogurt) faithfully accompany everything mentioned above.
If this is your first time at this spot, keep in mind that you have to pay before you sit down; I was a little confused the first time. Also, it is a very loud place (you'll see) but to be honest, it is worth it.
