I tend to get tremendously pleased and excited when I find a restaurant where the design and service are just as impeccable as the cooking. I believe that a delicious meal in an outdated décor with poor service is just as terrible as poor cooking in a beautiful setting.
When I finally managed to have dinner at Björk I walked out with that excited “jackpot feeling”! The ambiance and interior design were just as amazing as the food! The restaurant has a polished minimal and extremely pleasing aesthetic typical of Sweden design. There is an effortless elegance where the beauty of the décor is played down by the welcoming and friendly attitude of the staff. A perfect combination of worlds according to my humble opinion!
As a starter I had an amazing vegetable and roasted potato soup. I was surprised by the varied, generous portion and also by the colourful beauty of the dish. It is probably one of the best soups I have had in years...I also recommend the “Kalv I dill”, fillet with carrot cream that was amazing!
The great thing about Björk is that they are also open for lunch, aperitivo or an afternoon snack. Did I forget to mention that they are also a "side store" where you can purchase Swedish delicacies and treats?!
I promise you will not be disappointed...
