Blicy is one of those places that essentially serves only one dish in different variations. In this case, it's blini with various fillings. Blini are a traditional Slavic pancakes and a great snack! So, if you're looking for a bite to eat and want a healthier alternative to fast food, this is the place for you.
My favorite blini here are number 4 and number 8.
Number 4 is a fairly classic and simple recipe. It's a pancake with ham, egg, tomato, and mozzarella. Very simple (and that's how blini should be - after all, they're a traditional village food), but very tasty!
Number 8 is a spicy pancake. Inside, there is pepperoni, onion, chili pepper, and cream cheese. I wouldn't call it very spicy, but you will feel the heat.
In any case, you'll find something to your liking: there are sweet pancakes, vegetarian options, and pancakes made with spinach dough. Plus, they have decent coffee at a reasonable price and several varieties of beer and cider.
By the way, you may be surprised that the pancakes on the menu have quite different numbers: number 1 may be followed by number 39. This is simply an indication of how much the team has experimented with recipes. They only keep items on the menu that guests really liked!
During peak hours, you may have to wait 20-25 minutes for your order, but it's worth it!
