Both Bookstores and vinyl shops are becoming a dying breed. But for vintage lovers like me, they still hold a treasure trove of discoveries. One place that I like to stop by every so often is Encore Books and Records in the Southwest of Montreal. I’m a repeat customer but was especially in my university days when I had to buy tons of novels for literature classes and couldn’t get what I was looking for in other used bookstores. The staff was always friendly and knowledgeable, often going above and beyond to help me find what I needed. I like the fact that it’s well organized, which isn’t often the case in vintage stores.
At the back of the store, they have a vinyl section which is pretty cool and moderately priced. I’ve seen a few rarities there and they carry both music and books of every genre. The discount bin out front makes it hard to leave without picking up something.

It's quite interesting because it's all in length, with a stage in the middle to the right & a bar on the left side stretched on almost half of the space.
