Move your body
Although I don't know how to dance the tango, I'm in love with it. I always enjoyed the music of Piazzola and will one day do my best to swirl to his sweet melodies. But for now I'm a voyeur. And the best place to watch dancers go at it is this charming park located in the Plateau neighborhood.
Parc Laurier has a lot to offer during the summer like swimming, soccer, baseball or just picnicking with your buddies. And free tango is one of the the many activities possible. Every Tuesday evening, the "tangueros" gather and dance it off. Anybody can get a free lesson given by Tango Libre or try it out since it's an open event. It's a great way to get a taste of Argentina and meet suave people.
When it's not summertime, you can get your dancing shoes ready for some suave moves at Tango Libre, and get a free lesson. Better to call and ask when the next session is.
