There’s a reason that Mount Royal street is popular with Montreal locals and tourists alike. It has a lot to offer: restaurants, bars and clubs, among other things. It’s part of the trendy Plateau neighbourhood and to the west of the metro station it crosses St- Laurent, another trendy street, and also leads to the mountain which it was named after. The restaurant L’entrepot, is on Mount Royal street east, a section that has a little less fanfare, which is why I like it.
Sometimes simple is best and L’entrepot definitely fits the bill. I had a burger with fries and their house beer which hit the spot. They also serve other typical fare such as salads, sandwiches, and some specialties like maple bacon potato skins and maple onion rings.
What I like the most is it’s a practical place with university student prices, so I never have to worry about breaking the bank when I go there.
