This homey coffee place in Villeray neighborhood just opened their doors in July 2014... and it's a big one, a garage door that makes the complete façade of the place. In summertime, it's exactly what we need. This place has been in constant mutation since the opening: they now have a great outdoor terrace, they operate also in the basement, they have knitting workshops (see facebook page), they welcome different groups such as «The University of the Streets Café», and they sell a few artisan creations as collection of cups, greeting cards and notebooks, reusable bags, cute pins.
They offer a great summer concept : la charette pique-nique! It's filled with food, park games and dishes. You roll it to the nearby Jarry park and the cart turns into a table. All you need for an unforgettable picnic!
As we expect from a place like this, they serve excellent coffee! Macchiato, espresso, latté, cappuccino and al. They also collaborate with the no less fabulous bakery, Arhoma, to get a variety of fresh pastries every morning.
The place, as well as the staff, is warm and friendly. It's beautifully decorated with vintage furniture and objects, a piano, flowers, woods and spots of color here and there.
They started a catering service also.
Their blurb: Welcomes families, friends and lovers, all unceremoniously
with fresh and delicious products to discover at each visit. Perfect to drink, eat, think and play.
Enjoy!
