I love Bauman Garden for a number of reasons. First, it’s been recently renovated, but it still has retained a few charming details from the past, like an old-school stage. Second, it’s not as crowded as some other parks, so you can find some serenity there after a long stroll. Third, there’s always something going on – a DJ set, a live music gig, a performance – making it a perfect place for people-watching.Â
What’s more, Bauman Garden is strategically located between two of my favorite neighborhoods: Chistye Prudy and Basmanny. I’m sure that you won’t miss the former; however, I strongly recommend you to explore the latter as well. After you feel that your energy level is replenished, go down Novaya Basmannaya, and you will stumble upon a couple of impressive old manors, a church, and some historic buildings. And when you get exhausted by all that walking, come back to the Garden!
