Burgers are the new sushi. Just admit it. Well, maybe not sushi - they became so last season many years ago. To be more precise, burgers are the new basic food you can grab anytime, anywhere. Be it on the railway station, or in a shopping mall, or it’s just you and your lunch break, burgers make everything better.
One of those places where you can grab your burger on the go is ‘Burger & Fries’. Actually, it’s a chain of burger shops managed by ‘Miratorg’, one of Russia’s main meat companies. So it makes sense that one of those points, which are not so common in Moscow, by the way, is located on Serpukhovsky Val, pretty close to Shabolovka, one of the coolest old Moscow streets.
So, all you have to do is to enter ‘Miratorg’ butcher shop. There you will also find a cozy ‘Burger & Fries’ spot. As usual, there are several types of burgers on the menu. The Classic, with chicken, with a fried egg inside... everyone will find something to their taste. The prices are very reasonable, so I find this place one of the best in Moscow, taking into consideration value for money.
My personal favourite is ‘Rodeo’ burger. It has, apart from beef, some cheddar cheese and pickles inside with mustard added — pretty savoury and refined, just what you need for a busy day in the city.
Besides eating inside, you will have a great view of the boulevard. Isn’t it a perfect combination?
