Of course there are lots of lovely cafes in Munich but what makes the Cafe Crème special in my opinion is the fact that they sell sandwiches with a very typical kind of bread roll called Laugensemmel (lye roll) which is the roll version of a Bretzel. They are typical for southern Germany and look a bit like an English cross bun, they are however savoury.
You can also get this kind of sandwich, usually filled with cheese, ham or salami, in some bakeries, mostly chains, around town but somehow they are never as good as the ones from Cafe Crème. They also have a great range of different cakes the way a German granny would bake them and they also sell delicious salads and lunch. Every time I pop in, no matter what time, the place is busy.
Cafe Crème is a great spot for a little refreshment during a shopping trip in this area. Especially this part of the Reichenbachstrasse I can very much recommend for clothes and furniture shopping. The furniture shop Delikatessen is right next door.
