I love clichés. A Chinese restaurant has to have a big aquarium with hypnotised fishes, in a Greek restaurant fishnets have to hang from the ceiling and in Mexican restaurants desert landscapes and valleys with lots of peyote and a sleeping Mexican with sombrero are painted on the wall.
But La Taqueria Milagros is a fresh and surprising exception. The interior of this Mexican restaurant, snack-bar or fast food, take-away restaurant has nothing to do with clichés, except for the wrestling masks, but they are presented in a very modern way as light installations. I love the way how the interior is styled: the raw concrete walls, fresh colors, stylish lamps, trashy accessories.
But let's talk about the food. I recommend a burrito with nachos in different variations. Portions are not too big, but the burrito is a kind of side dish or fast food snack, whose only mission is to satisfy hunger in a very fast and I think healthy way.
My conclusion: eat fast food slowly, so that you can enjoy the interior and discover all the quirky decor utensils.
