This is one of the spots I like to call “fresh” - when I say “fresh” I mean: young, lively, stylish, with curious personality, a place that has art feelings (mostly painting exhibitions) and that renews the menu every time it feels the need.
Hopside was founded in 2013 by Roman youngsters with an interesting idea: a place that could be a gourmet restaurant but also a pub, prepare street food and also be a craft beer laboratory. Genius! This young talent created the interior decoration using cheap materials such as old wood and corroded iron, which in the end created a really pleasant design ambience in which to have dinner or a beer.
Talking about beer, it is the specialty of the house: they have ten different types of draft and two English-style cask ale engines in rotation, which means that your thirst will always be surprised when you go there. The food is more than interesting and recently was enriched by exotic choices like noodles and wok style.
In 2015 these youngs guys won the best innovative formula prize by Gambero Rosso (a famous Italian food guide), and they deserve all of this praise. What more can I write? Go there and enjoy yourself.
