I was wandering around Petrogradsky Island once and noticed a small Korean cafe located in one of the yards. I happen to be a fan of Asian food and would advise you to pay this place a visit more than once. You can call this place authentic, and weird, but the food is great and it comes at a reasonable price.
The owners of the cafe is a family of Russian Koreans who knows the cuisine thoroughly and how to adapt it to local customers. The atmosphere is quite nice inside: cozy tables and anime characters greeting you from the walls.
Mashita offers a wide range of Korean specialities: Ramen (traditional Korean soup), rice, noodles with all kind of meat and seafood, Asian meat pockets - Gedza - and of course Onigiri - rice triangles filled with various ingredients. Vegetarians can easily find something without meat. You can participate in a local challenge - order something with kimchi, that's what I call something truly Korean: it can be very spicy.
A few personal tips before you visit: go inside the yard and turn right (the place is not easy to spot from street). Also, come hungry.
