The first thing you'll notice while visiting Čajdžinica Džirlo in Sarajevo, besides the lovely interior, is the welcoming and friendly service. It's not rare that the owner approaches you and makes small talk, asks if everything is as you want it to be, or gives you a quick insight into the place's history or some interesting stories about tea.
It is located at Baščaršija near Sebilj, so you'll have a nice view towards the very center of Sarajevo and old town. The interior is inviting and will brighten up snowy and rainy days, however, if you're able to visit during spring and summer, sitting outside will really make you feel Sarajevo's atmosphere.
Before you make your decision on which tea to drink, you'll get the chance to smell and ask anything that you might want to know about the mixtures they are offering. After they prepare it, you'll get instructions on how long you must wait until it's the perfect time to drink your tea. So this whole procedure from ordering to finally tasting your tea will be a whole new experience. Another thing they're offering is light breakfast, with croissants and Bosnian coffee which is a perfect combination to start your day.
So really this place has a bit of everything, tradition and novelty and because of that and many other reasons that are yours to discover, you won't regret your time spent here.
