Bloom is a non-profit organization and community that aims to connect internationals residing in Tampere with each other and with Finnish locals, in order to make them thrive together. I'd say it's pretty handy for making friends and other connections if you're staying in Tampere on a more permanent basis!
But Bloom also has its own clubroom, dubbed the Common Space, which functions as a living room away from your own home. At least, that's how I used it when there was a noisy renovation happening in the apartment complex where I live. If renovations happen quite frequently, the Bloom Common Space exists as your escape!
Even if you're only a Tampere visitor, you can come relax in the Common Space, enjoy a hot beverage and a snack, and either do some work on your own laptop, play some board games, read a book, or have a chat with whoever else is there!
Various events and workshops are often held in the Bloom Common Space, so it's worth checking out the Events page on the Bloom website before visiting! Be aware that the Bloom Common Space is currently only open by appointment.
