About me

About me
Entrepreneur, runner, mum, writer... I have many roles! I came to Tampere because of... you know the story: because of a man. It was in the year 2001 and Tampere had been my dream since a little kid because of our amusement park Särkänniemi even back in the 1990s, and I still love that park! Now we have two daughters (born in Tampere of course) and I cannot imagine another home for my family.

We are a running family - I have run several half-marathons and three others in my family have the triathlon as a hobby. So if you want to know the best places to run or cycle in Tampere, or of course swim, I am here to help you!

Also, saunas are the best thing my family knows and a very Finnish thing. We are lucky to live in Finland's sauna capital!

I write a blog, explore new (and old) places all the time. I take pictures everywhere I go and keep updating. You can find useful tips and nature from my spots!

Why Tampere
Tampere has always been a perfect-sized city - it has so much to see, but also nature is just next to the city centre. Culture is one of the best things in Tampere - three theaters, movies, live music, clubs, you name it! Tampere has it all. And also sports! We have everything you can imagine.

Last but not least - the restaurants. Tampere is full of wonderful restaurants, bakeries, cafeterias and places you have to know. I love that when you step only two or three kilometres out of the centre, you have it all: hidden restaurants, places to swim, saunas, forests and... well, everything you need.

We also have very unique fashion here in Tampere. Even our prime minister loves design from Tampere, don't miss local shops when visiting here!

Where else can you find me online?
