One of my favourite shopping places are flea markets and second-hand shops. One of them is SPR Kontti in Lielahti run by the Finnish Red Cross.
In Kontti you can find basically anything: clothes, shoes, sports equipment, toys, books, gift items, paintings, household appliances, furniture and tableware... I have found for example beautiful tableware from Kontti, but also there are even brand new clothes and shoes sometimes.
I also do my part for recycling, as I take old clothes and other stuff back to Kontti. This is at least how I want to be part of making the world a better place to live and not to consume all the time new things. Recycle!
A bus ride from the city center of Tampere takes only about 10-15 minutes to Lielahti. And there are two other flea markets in Lielahti area, so why not visit them all.
