If you love adventurous and experimental cooking as much as I do, then the East Asia Mart in the Tullintori shopping center should be your next stop! As the name suggests, it sells stuff from Asia, ranging from fresh produce to frozen food to snacks and drinks, and even some kitchen appliances!
I usually go there to purchase a large range of instant noodles from Indonesia, or to get that one hard-to-find ingredient of a recipe that you won't usually find in other supermarkets, especially when it involves an Asian food recipe. Or if you've heard of a specific type of snack or drink only common in Asian countries, chances are that you will find them at East Asia Mart! For example, I managed to try bubble tea for the first time because they sold instant cups there!
And if you don't have much time to browse around, East Asia Mart always sells some takeaway snacks! It might already be stuff you're familiar with, such as spring rolls or dumplings, but they offer more than just that. I've often seen 'onigiri' on sale in their takeaway section. Why not give those a try?
