A really nice way to see art in Tampere, is to take a walk and spot street art all over the city. SirkusrakkausPumPum in a company in Tampere and they have realised several paintings on electrical cabinets. You can spot these cabinets in the city centre, or take a bus or tram and see them all over the city. In Kaleva, Messukylä, Nekala, Pyynikki and so on. It is a really nice way to give colours to our town in Tampere. Especially winters can be quite grey, so you can go and see some city art with multiple colours!
Usually, there are Finnish birds painted, but you can also see just colours or abstract art painted. All the murals, electrical cabinets (sähkönjakokaappi or sähkömuuntamo in Finnish) and other free art is listed in a map here. So go on and spot them: as you can see, it would take a week to see all the beautiful city art!
