Fancy having fun on a tree even twenty meters high, test your limits and challenge your possible acrophobia? Just on one corner of the beautiful ridge of Pyynikki there is a place for true, ecological fun: Varala Flow Park adventure park.
Varala Flow Park is situated by the lake of Pyhäjärvi with some amazing scenery by the lake. Flow Park consists of nine different adventure courses built on living trees but without harming them. Some of these courses are suitable for kids, all for adults.
The idea of the adventure park is to put the helmet and harness on and climb the tree. There you can find many fun tasks you need to complete until you finish the course. These tasks can be e.g. to jump in a liana, climb a rope ladder or have a cable ride.
Flow parking is my favourite outdoor sport activity in Tampere. I have beaten some of my strongest feelings of acrophobia here while swinging high. The activity is highly recommendable to anyone who loves mental and physical challenges - no advanced skills are needed!
Bring your swimming suit with you, because the sandy beach of Pyynikki (Rosendahlin ranta) is nearby and after sweating in the trees, some swimming is the best thing you can do!
"Pikku Kakkonen Park" is themed around the famous children's show of the same name that takes place in Tampere. It's definitely a must-see place for kids!
