In the middle of Tampere, namely at Laukontori market area, there is a small piece of Europe: restaurant LiV. And I totally agree with the owners who always tell "why settle for good"? At LiV you don't need to settle for good, as the food, service and wines are excellent.
I had the privilege to visit LiV last time with my mom and my sister just before Christmas. We went out for a ladies Christmas party and oh boy did we have an amazing evening.
We entered the restaurant and there we had a beautiful table set for us to which one of the owners of course led us. We sat down, had a glass of pink champagne and enjoyed the evening. We did have something to eat, too, and excellent matching wines to our fish or meat dishes. Finally, three handmade chocolate truffles (in the photo and soooo delicious) were served for us, and that was a perfect ending for an amazing dinner.
LiV restaurant is a magical place. It is as you would step into a place, where all your worries disappear. The level of service is such an incredible but not too much. You feel like a queen (or king). The menu is always planned so that everyone can find delicacies from it. And then there is the wine selection which includes special editions or bottles, but which are very reasonably priced.
LiV is a place to spend your evening. Try it, you'll love it!
