There is a hidden secret in Nekala: Cafe Konditoria Mari, which has the best ever pastries, salads, soups and baguettes in town! I guarantee this. You will also get a really authentic atmosphere in Mari - it was established in the 1970s and it is still a really popular place. But it's a little but hidden, you have to know where it is!
In Mari you should try their awesome salad with no dishes or trash at all. How is that possible? You can also eat the plate! The plate is made of bread, then there is some cream cheese and salad on the top of it. Same with soups - the plate is edible. Isn't that great?
Mari has also the best pastries and cinnamon buns in town. It is a really popular place among locals, so I recommend you go quite early, because a lot of things will be sold out every day. Go for lunch or late breakfast around 11 am. There is a bus stop near Mari, or you can go by bike or walk there from the city centre.
They make all the things by themselves. Don't miss this place while exploring Tampere city!
