Viikinsaari Tampere
An island for fun
Only a 20-minute boat ride away from Tampere city centre there is an island called Viikinsaari. And there is a lot to do there!
On the island there is a summer restaurant, a summer theatre, saunas (both public and a rental one) and a kiosk for sodas, ice cream and snacks. It is also a very green island where you can walk around, sit down and even sunbathe. So you can enjoy the whole day on the island and not worry about a thing.
During the summer it is also a place for events. Lots of different kinds of happenings take place on the island such as music, dance, stand-up events, not forgetting the events for kids. And you can also spend your midsummer there!
For a person wishing to relax, there is a conservation area and a nature trail with meditation path. This walking trail is 1.3 km long and there are 14 activity points about the island’s nature.
Viikinsaari island is a must when visiting Tampere during the summer. You should definitely visit it!
