When I found out we were getting a new café near my home in Benicalap, I was ecstatic. Butter Pastelería has lived up to the hype and is now my go-to for iced lattes, matcha, and chai without having to venture to the centre. Originally a delivery service for baked goods, Butter Pastelería opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the spring of 2024. The store is known for its gluten-free pastries that look and taste as good as any regular dessert. And it's true: their New York-style chocolate chip cookie is probably one of the best cookies I've ever had. Pair it with a chai latte or iced latte, and you're golden.
If you're on the go, you can order at the outdoor to-go window, or if you have time, sit inside and enjoy the cosy atmosphere. Customers can also call and order cakes, cookies, and other desserts for pick up and delivery. If you have a sweet tooth like me but can't have gluten, I highly suggest you run to Butter Pastelería and try it out!
