One of the best parts about living in Spain, especially as someone from the United States, is the ability to access such fresh fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. I came across this produce stand, or frutería, shortly after moving to Valencia on my way to the gym. What caught my eye was a sign on a small shelf that said "todo a 1 euro" or "everything for 1 euro," with big bags of lemons, potatoes, leeks, grapes, and other produce. After a few visits, I decided it was time to try the rest of their offerings.
While the price may be slightly higher than other fruterías in the neighbourhood, everything is locally grown and of high quality. They also have fantastic customer service—the employees are always happy to answer your questions and give recommendations based on what's in season. The space is a bit small, and you'll typically see a few people waiting in line outside, but trust me, it's worth it.
