Non-officially named Calle de los Colores (Street of Colors), its real name on street maps is Calle Moret.
Situated in the heart of the old Valencia, in El Carmen neighbourhood (barrio del Carmen), this is an example of how an obscure, dirty and unnoticed alley can become a place full of energy, colour and positive vibes thanks to the project of a group of street artists such as Deih and Zíngaro or the painter Luis Longedo, gathered in 2016 to bring a little life back to the environment of this area by painting large murals along in one of its walls. The girl on the bridge, the boy who plays the drums or the graffiti of the couple kissing are some of the most popular.
In this last one, the artist invites everybody to emulate the couple with the phrase “forbidden not to kiss” so don’t miss the opportunity to take a picture kissing your partner and upload it to Instagram. This is a fascinating hidden gem and a must-see if you’re walking around the Old Quarter!
