With a warm atmosphere and prices even a student will love, Saints and Scholars (previously known as St. Pat's Scholars) takes “community” very seriously. Nestled between the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, this authentic Irish pub is a cosy and welcoming spot, perfect for students or locals who want to stop for a quick pint or catch the latest football or rugby match.
The pub gets especially busy during important matches, so it’s best to be there an hour before to get a good seat: I like to sit at one of the high-top tables to get a good view of one of the many TVs. Hungry? No problem! You can order reasonably priced pub food like burgers, wings, fries, and sandwiches. Try the hot sauce wings; they pair perfectly with the steak fries. If you’re craving Irish fare, there are a variety of specials, including The Spice Bag, fish and chips, and The 32, an Irish fry-up with the full fixings (there’s even a vegetarian version!)
The pub hosts events every weeknight such as Trivia, Darts tournaments, Beer Pong, Happy Hour, and Language exchanges for those who want to brush up on their English or Spanish. St. Patrick’s goal is to provide an authentic Irish experience while uniting the Spanish locals and expats, cultivating a unique community grounded in shared experiences. They’re very active on Instagram, so check them out to get updates on the latest happenings. Cheers!
