If you're seeking a high-quality Mediterranean meal without the hustle and bustle of the city centre, head a bit north to Beniferri and dine at Taperia Hispania. Situated on Avenida de Les Cortes Valencianas, it's just a 1-minute walk from the Beniferri metro (Lines 1 & 2), with several bus lines from the centre stopping almost directly in front.
Loved by locals and visitors alike, the restaurant was featured as one of the best restaurants in Valencia for a Christmas meal by 20Minutos. A standout feature is its service, with some of the friendliest and most accommodating staff in the city. Taperia Hispania serves a variety of dishes ranging from typical Valencian fare to Mediterranean fusion. The restaurant is renowned for its rice dishes; their paella is not only one of my favourites in the city, but it's one of the best in the area. If you want to try something different while still enjoying traditional Valencian cuisine, try the Arroz del Horno (Baked Rice) or the Fideuá del señoret, a dish similar to paella but made with pasta noodles instead of rice.
Throughout the week, they offer a menú del día (special of the day) for €14.50, which includes two plates and a dessert. Don’t expect always to see the same options; the menú changes throughout the year.
