A perfect example of the expression “the gift that keeps on giving”. For almost 30 years, Aunt Leah’s Place has embraced the fight against foster kids becoming homeless, and mothers losing their kids to foster care. Aunt Leah's organization is focused on providing shelter, job training, and life coaching to support their path on becoming self-sustaining and contributing members of society. This is truly thrift with a cause.
All donations are pre-selected, so you can be sure everything in the store is in great condition. You’ll be amazed at the gems you can score here! Aunt Leah’s is super nicely decorated and organized, and the staff is friendly and attentive. They also have the sweetest fundraising events, like “Love to Give – Music Night”, where a local artist plays in the store and special discounts are offered during the performance. This usually happens on the last Friday of every month.
Whether I am in need of a new piece of clothing or I’m doing a closet clean-out, I make sure to pop in there as often as possible. You just never know what you’ll find. All I know is you’ll find something that will catch your eye.
