One of my favourite things to do while travelling is find street art, so when I finally discovered some in my neighbourhood, I was excited that it could be the start of more murals in the area. Tucked away off a residential street, Fun Alley is the perfect hidden spot to relax in Lower Lonsdale.
Created by eight teenage artists in 2017, Fun Alley adds a fun pop of colour to North Vancouver's street art scene. Benches to sit on and watered plants show that Fun Alley was designed as a place for people to hang out, not just a place to look at quickly and keep going.
In the current cold weather, stopping by quickly before heading off to one of the many nearby coffee or book shops is my go-to. If you wander up the alley, you may also find a well-hidden thrift shop. It’s the perfect addition to a visit to the Lower Lonsdale area.
