Breka is the one sweet spot to hang out until very late... or very early!
I love meeting up in little cafés and being able to chat with friends until we are too tired to keep our eyes open. It took me a while before finding a great place in Vancouver to do so, then I found Breka Bakeries!
My first time at Breka's, I was thinking of getting a croissant but got tempted by the Cheesecake Brownie; two of my favorite desserts in one! Sweets lovers out there, this is the best! Since then, I have tried the Pistachio Apple Strudel, the Pecan Walnut Bar, the Apple Fritter, the Chocolate Almond Croissant and haven't been disappointed. Even when I don't crave sweets, I find my happy place with other delicious options like the Tofu Walnut Melt Sandwich.
I was surprised I was able to sit on their heated patio and not feel like I'm totally freezing in late November when all the tables and couches inside were taken. I'd recommend getting there before 22:00 if you are with a few friends and planning on sitting down because it gets crowded at times. Once we get a seat, we tend to get cozy in the warm atmosphere and want to stay there for a while!
