This bright coffee shop is highly recommended if you're in this neighborhood and looking for a non-chain coffee place. A big communal table is silently inviting you to sit down and work for a couple of hours. There are no outside sitting options, but the inside offers tables of various sizes and a sofa.
The menu is visible in the glass display: sweet and savoury quiches (try the one with leek), scones, pies, cookies (try the one with the Earl Grey). For some, like me, the fact of the presence of the espresso-tonic in the menu might be outstanding, as it is a very rare treat in Metro Vancouver coffee shops.
The title of Coffizen tells us they roast coffee here, and it is the reason to go with espresso, if you like it.
Another reason to check it out is their signature menu with interesting items, such as aerocano with its velvet coffee foam (no milk involved), sour cream and green onion biscuit or espresso bun. All of these look and taste quite unique, and the place might get shortlisted into the top 3 in the area!
