Hosting comedy, dance, and theatre productions, the Cultch is a small theatre in Vancouver with a great variety of shows.
There are two locations: the smaller, more intimate historic theatre and the bigger, more modern York theatre. Prices range from $29-70 for most shows, depending on where you sit.
Some of this year's most anticipated shows include Duck Pond, a parody of the Swan Lake ballet, a local pantomime, and Children of God, a musical about an Indigenous family whose children are taken to residential school.
They also host a wide range of independent productions that rent out their space, meaning there are usually a couple of shows each month you have the chance to see.
My favourite part of the Cultch other than the shows is the comfortable and spacious seating in both theatres and the bars with drink and snack options for everyone.
