In a neighbourhood saturated by homogeneous, chain coffee shops, Dose Espresso Bar is a tiny, adorable coffee oasis. The decor inside is minimal - a few window seats, local art, a collection of fanboy action figures behind the counter. The staff are young and stylish, and the owner is right out front making drinks and working the register.
But don't be fooled by its cuteness - this cafe is serious about coffee. The smell inside is intoxicating, and each drink is carefully prepared and presented beautifully. Their espresso menu offers drinks like nutella mocha, honey cocoa latte, raspberry mocha - and my personal favourite, burnt caramel latte. They offer a small selection of delicious baked goods, baked fresh in house and constantly changing. Fruit scones, muffins, waffles (sweet or savory), impossibly flaky croissants and turnovers, tarts - the list goes on.
I often suggest it when I'm meeting a friend or even better, I come alone and curl up in the window seat with one of their hipster magazines and a latte.
