Get a taste of Vancouver’s thriving Chinese community at the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Garden. The garden is home to a tranquil outdoor space as well as a few rotating art exhibits. It’s truly one of my favourite places to escape the city and connect to my roots. Even in the quintessential Vancouver rain, it’s such a peaceful place to be.
Located in the heart of Chinatown, you’ll be grateful for the opportunity to relax and unwind in this garden oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Grab a book and sit yourself down in the covered pavilion right next to the pond or wander through the exhibits and explore to your heart’s content.
Whether you’re looking for a cool photo op or some artful indulgence, you’re sure to have a great time here. It also doesn’t hurt that the garden is a few blocks from some of the best food in town.
