Grab a blanket, some hot chocolate and go to one of the benches in Elsje Point in Kits (Kitsilano, that's how we call it) beach and enjoy the beautiful view of downtown from here.
Even on a winter night, I like walking to this spot, sitting down and absorbing the beautiful view across from downtown. During summer, it is an absolute must to take a book and sit down and relax in this beautiful place.
This point is next to a dog park, so if you like dogs, you can see them go crazy with their sticks on the beach! It's my favourite thing to do in summer.
This place is best visited in night, when the city lights are glowing. It's across the water from downtown, so you will be able to see its buildings.
Kits beach is a 10-minute bus ride from downtown and there is plenty of parking in the beach. There are number of very good pubs and restaurants near this area.
