This is the place for you if you want to see what the local Vancouver artists have to offer and if you are looking for a special piece to take home with you as a reminder of your trip. I really like artwork in all its various forms and gallery row on South Granville St. is a really amazing place to wander around and see what is being offered by the variety of local Vancouver artists.
I particularly like the Douglas Reynolds Gallery. They specialize in Pacific Northwest Coast native art and while they have expensive Northwest Coast pieces they also have a great range of prints and lithographs that are relatively inexpensive, starting at approximately $ 100 for an unframed print. This native Northwest Coast artwork is very specific to this coast and in particular Vancouver (there are quite a few local native bands that contribute to this particular gallery) and will definitely be a reminder of Vancouver, while you support local artists.
